I should be happy to see a local boy make good. I should be a fan. Or maybe not. I’ve heard that Family Guy can be pretty offensive. Maybe I’d be offended if I watched it.
But I cannot. Everyone in it looks like Garfield. Garfield did not look like a cat, he did not act like a cat, and he wasn’t funny. Something about the half-closed eyes on all the characters in Garfield and Family Guy–it just bothers me. It’s a free country, I know, and I’ll defend to the death their right to draw these cartoons. But I can’t stand to look at them.

I end up feeling accosted by all the sexual talk on this show, it’s just so constant and incessant that there is little room for any other humor.

Maybe he lacks imagination. Also, I think he was traumatized by Hanna-Barbera. All his characters are puffy looking.

I’ve seen a few minutes a few times.
It makes “Beavis & Butthead” look like “Masterpiece Theatre.” But I really liked “B&B.”
Bottom line, it just seems like stuff that a 12-yr-old boy would think was funny.

King of the Hill was funny.

I think King of the Hill has some really good writing, and it actually shows a family that, while eccentric and troubled, is functional and supportive.
Family Guy has occasional funny moments, but too often goes for the simply STOOPIT, as we say in Rhode Island.
