i have used insulin for Type 2 diabetes for about 24 years-I used Metformin also for a short time, but not for quite a while.
I’ve experienced the “usual”consequences of Type 2-neuropathy,ischemic heart disease, etc.I haven’t ever had pancreatitis, and that is one nasty condition.
No retinopathy either.I’ve been lucky and i’m glad my original primary care doctor wanted me to go right on insulin to help delay the unavoidable consequences of the disease.Smart doctor. A lot of people shy away from “needles”-they are less painful than a mosquito bite.
These “wonder”drugs give me pause-remember Resulin and Avandia-killer drugs both.
