Vegetarian Gyoza

I've gotten several requests for this recipe from both vegetarian and carnivorous friends, so here it is. I recommend serving the gyoza as a main course with a small side salad. This way you've got a whole meal and only one dirty pan. -- Kiersten Marek

Ingredients

1 14 ounce package Lightlife Meatless GimmeLean Sausage

1/2 cup Galaxy Foods Veggie Sour Cream

1/4 cup regular light sour cream

6 spring onions, finely chopped

1 clove garlic

2 tsp fresh ground ginger

1/4 cup finely chopped celery

1 package (60) round Nasoya wonton wrappers

1/3 cup olive oil for saute of sausage

1/3 cup olive oil for saute of gyoza

Saute the meatless sausage in the olive oil until brown, about 20 minutes. Remove from heat. Add veggie and regular sour creams, chopped spring onions, garlic, ginger, and celery. Blend well with a spoon. Cool slightly. You can wash the frying pan while you let the stuffing cool, and refill it with the second 1/3 cup of olive oil.

Stuff meatless sausage mix into wonton wrappers, about a tablespoon of sausage mix per wonton. When you have all the wontons stuffed, saute them in olive oil until they are slightly brown, about 90 seconds per side. Serve immediately with a fine tamari such as San-J.
