Curt Schilling, the Republican who hates big government, is looking for a government bailout.
After his heroics in Game 6 of the 2004 American League Championship Series (the “bloody sock” game), and helping the Boston Red Sox win their first World Series in 86 years, Curt Schilling will never have to pay for a drink in a bar anywhere in New England for the rest of his life.
Schilling has a lot of opinions, and he’s not shy about voicing them. His Wikipedia page includes sections on “Conflicts with players”, “Conflicts with management”, and “Conflicts with media”. (That’s 2-3 more “Conflicts with” sections than the biography pages of most professional athletes.)
