  1. Interesting. When Alito was up for consideration, the Reps all howled about “up or down” voting, about “obstructionist” Dems and other things of that ilk.

    Now, though, attending a lesbian commitment ceremony is such a heinous offence (like kicking puppies) that this judge’s nomination simply CANNOT go forward.

    Love the priorities. Love the hypocrisy.

    I would just love to hear someone from the other (wrong) side of the aisle defend this action of Sen Brownback.

    As for the ticking bomb–hey, come on. It ALWAYS works like that on TV or in the movies. There are times–way too many of them–that I get the impression our neocon hawk friends believe that “Rambo” was a documentary, and that stuff on TV–like “24”– is true.

    The rest of the post is just ugly, ugly. Combining the stupid with the ambitious is the stuff of Shakespeare – but they always end bad, right?
