David Sirota, one of blogging’s most influential political forces, will be visiting our state this coming week.  The details are as follows:

Author, talking head, and new-media guru David Sirota will be in town on Tuesday, 4/14 to do a fundraiser for ProPAC, the Progressive Caucus’s political action committee. It’ll be from 7-9 at the Hi-Hat Lounge, 3 Davol Square in Providence.

Chaired by State Rep Art Handy, the Progressive Caucus is an organization of Rhode Island State Senators and Representatives, who work together to promote fair taxation, social justice, environmentalism, civil rights, and civil liberties.

We are requesting donations of $50, or more if you can, to our political action committee. Checks may be made payable to ProPAC. (Nobody will be turned away for inability to pay.)

David will also be doing an event on Brown’s campus, 5:30ish, sponsored by Democracy Matters, the Student Labor Alliance, emPower, Sustainable Food Initiative, the Brown Dems, Students for a Sensible Drug Policy, and more.
