Waking up to Snow

The first real one of the season, a little ahead of the Winter Solstice. I was all charged up to go out and make visits, when my husband pointed out that the snow is falling on the roads too.

I slid just parking the car, I’ll take a few snow hours until it melts. Drive safe.

  1. There is a grandness to the first snow that seems to clean the air and the land. Here at 4500 ft, the clouds come in fast and if their is snow in them, it drops fast and it is white for the 20 miles that we can see. First covered is the 7,000 ft mountain peak I see from my front window and the clouds tumble down lower and lower. If it is really a good snow, everything stops, even my horses, and all is white for a while.
