Underinsured Children Going Without Vaccines

Web MD reports that, due to underinsurance problems, some children are not getting vaccinated. From Web MD:

Aug. 7, 2007 — Underinsured children may be going without recommended vaccines due to limited federal and state funding, a new study shows.

Kids who are underinsured for immunization come from families with private health insurance that doesn’t fully cover vaccination costs.

  1. If we had taken the privatization approach to the eradication of smallpox we’d still be living with it.

  2. I guess some states must not be as strict in terms of requiring vaccination records for all children enrolled in public school, but in RI your child has to be fully vaccinated, so I don’t see how people are getting away with this here, unless they are falsifying the vaccination record. But in other states it must be easier to get away with.

  3. Let’s just hope they disclose the trace of Mercury that’s in that shot, which is enough for a 500 lb person. I wonder if they could change the questions asked when giving a shot from “Are you allergic to Eggs or Feathers…” ~ how about Lead or Mercury, Formaldehyde etc.

In Lancaster PA there is an Amish community of 30,000+ that do not get vaccines…there is no Autism and other neurological disorders that appear after a certain age. I just hope we change our disclosure statement. So what we poisen them with vaccines and then sell annedotes. I just think we should all have the option to hear the truth or rip the paper up of what is in that shot.
