For those of us who like to get out more once the weather permits, here is a little photojournalism from Newport by a young woman named Sahra. She is 22 and her voice has that wonderful explorer/creator tone that works so well as she tells the story of her day, including the simple yet universal event of having one’s favorite hat blow off in the wind.
In my recent job hunting I had a job interview in the seaside town of Newport, RI as a receptionist in a tattoo shop. Combining two things I love, the ocean and tattoos.
I brought my sister along and we made a day out of it, stopping at various scenic points for some fun and picture taking!

I’m a big fan of Levi’s jeans, and I’m proud to have been sized for my curve ID fit. I’m a demi curve :).
While the day was a mild 56 degrees inland, as the sun began to set on the water it began to get a little chilly, so don’t mind the shrugged cold shoulders in the next picture.
