Sarah Palin, Martyr

Sarah Palin was just quoted by AP saying, ‘Politically speaking, If I die, I die.’

This is right after she ‘politically speaking’ jumped off the ledge.

It’s all about her, but not really, because she’s just being ‘how Alaskans are.’

Bite on that–lower 48.

If I were an Alaskan who had believed in her as governor, voted for her, donated to her, campaigned for her, defended her to my friends when she was criticized– I’d be feeling stood up right now. She walked away from the office with 3 weeks notice and no explanation. She’s passing the ball to score a win. But what’s the prize? Is it Alaska? The Republican Party? A third new party? Or her own career?

  1. Good thing we have up standing politicians like Patrick Kennedy.

    Controversies
Kennedy has acknowledged being treated for cocaine use during his teenage years, and admitted that he abused drugs and alcohol while he was a student at Providence College.[2] He sought treatment for an OxyContin addiction in 2006.[3]

In 2000, Kennedy was accused of pushing a security guard at LAX. City prosecutors ultimately decided not to bring criminal charges against him and he paid an undisclosed civil settlement to the alleged victim almost two years later.[4]

In 2000, Atlantic Navigation Company of Mystic, Connecticut claimed that a boat they rented to Kennedy was found abandoned off Martha’s Vineyard with $28,000 worth of damage.[5]

The same year, the Coast Guard was dispatched to Kennedy’s yacht after he and his date became embroiled in an argument on his yacht off Martha’s Vineyard.[6][dead link]

In 2003, Kennedy was criticized for saying “I have never worked a f***ing day in my life,” which his staff later claimed was a satirical reference to repeated charges of never having worked.[7]

In 2007, the Kennedy camp stated that they would retain $6,600 in donations from convicted Democratic fundraiser Norman Hsu. Kennedy is one of the few Democrats not to return or donate these contributions. This is a controversial action because of the allegation that Hsu had been using his personal funds to unfairly influence Washington.[8]

  2. You make a good case against Pat Kennedy, but how does that make Sarah Palin look better? She is the former vice-presidential candidate of the Republican party. No one put Pat Kennedy up for that office. He’ll serve in Congress in Rhode Island as long as he gets the votes, I don’t think he’ll go further than that.

  3. Sarah Palin: Quitter.

There was a placard in my HS gym: A Quitter Never Wins. A Winner Never Quits.

At the time I just thought it was stupid. Now, not so much.

    And, GCF…

Can you, perhaps, say something relevant the next time?

We’re not talking about Patrick, here.
