There always “used to be more snow.” For me it is certainly true; graduate school in Minnesota meant snow, snow, snow. Here in the Southwest, such is not the case except when we go over 6,000 feet or more. There is great confusion with notions of “weather” and “climate.” The former is a largely local, temporary feature of our world and the latter, a regional and worldwide phenomenon.
